Wild current is a medium, native tropical shrub that produces sweet, dark berries,  in grape-like clusters throughout late summer. They start out as pinkish white and darken to red and black as the flavour develops.

This is a hardy plant that will handle a range of soil types and can weather light frosts and winds - However it’s ideal growing conditions are rich, fertile soil and warm sunny climates. With its dark green glossy leaves, it makes a highly ornamental tree in the ground or in a pot.

Wild current can be trimmed to make an interesting native edible hedge.

Currently approximately 70 cm tall and grows 2 to 4 m high. Will start a free and went to years.
